English Language & Literature Tutor

Hi I’m Aggie! I'm an English tutor, working with students from aged 10 to 18. I graduated with a First Class (1:1) degree in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh in 2024.

When I’m not tutoring, I’m a produced playwright and theatre maker based in London. I run a theatre company that produces new writing and I have also directed shows in Wiltshire, Barcelona, Edinburgh and London. I’ve written for various magazines and blogs, and I’m also a keen theatre goer!

I’m also a bookseller and a cataloguer, specialising in 18th and 19th century women’s and children’s literature. I’ve also worked in bookshops, where I have spent a lot of time researching and selling modern firsts, contemporary literature and also antiquarian books!

I also volunteer with a children’s Shakespeare company in Wiltshire, teaching acting and Shakespeare to children aged 8-18 every summer.

I am passionate about helping children enjoy their GCSE, Common Entrance (13+) and A-level work, alongside introducing texts that suit their interests in order to foster a passion for literature at an early age. I truly believe that literature can be a very rewarding and exciting subject, and I can’t wait to help you fall in love with books!
